Our Story
READy to R.E.A.D. was founded in 2022 in a direct response to community needs. While working with students in Brown County, it became apparent that there was a need for free literacy tutoring services. Our founders believe that reading is a right, not something that is paid for. Thus, it is our goal to provide our services free of cost.
What We Do
Instilling a love and joy of reading is our first focus. Implementing the Orton Gillingham approach, highly qualified teachers engage the student in their learning. This approach is systematic, sequential, multisensory, prescriptive (tailored specifically to each child’s needs),data driven (lessons are based on where the student currently is), explicit, and research based. This strategic approach allows all students to succeed in reading setting them up for a lifetime of success.

Helping Your Child R.E.A.D
READy to R.E.A.D. focuses on creating lifelong Readers. Active and purposeful Engagement with materials that utilize kinesthetic learning through games, hands on activities, and movement instill in the student a vital love for reading. Students Advance through the curriculum that is tailored to their specific needs. This process leads Developing critical readers that are prepared for success!

Small Group
Highly qualified teachers deliver skilled lessons using the Orton Gillingham approach in a small group setting of 3-5 students. The availability of this service is dependent on student need.

Highly qualified teachers deliver skilled lessons using the Orton Gillingham approach in an accessible online environment. The availability of this service is dependent on student need.

Costs
Ready to R.E.A.D. is entirely funded by your donations and our fundraising. We do not charge for time with a literacy specialist. Our is aim to be entirely funded by grants and fundraising in the future, but at this time we rely on your help. We ask you to donate what you can afford.
One on One
- We spend over $50 for every hour of 1 on 1 tutoring your child recieves. Based on this we suggest a donation of $25 per hour and will offset the other cost through fund raising.
Small Group
- We spend more than $50 for every hour of tutoring your child recieves. Based on this we suggest a donation of $15 per hour and will offset the other cost through fund raising.
